Is Bubble Soccer safe for kids?

Posted by Dan Kitchen | 27th November 2018

Bubble soccer is a great, fun and active way to keep children entertained for a variety of occasions. Birthday parties, team building, you name it and Bubble Soccer is a fantastic way of trying something new and exciting.

The big question however, is how safe is it for kids?

With all that running around, tumbles and big hits how do we make sure that everyone is having fun and most importantly not getting hurt?

Here we will run you through our safety checklist which will ensure your kids are safe while playing Bubble Soccer:

  1. Experienced Staff: Our qualified staff have over 5 years of experience delivering Bubble Soccer sessions and are well versed in all the safety features of the bubbles. They will ensure that all participants know how to wear the bubbles correctly and will explain the dos and don’ts whilst wearing the bubbles. The will also make sure that everyone knows the rules of Bubble Soccer before playing so everyone get a fair go.

  2. Safety Harness: It is important to make sure that all harnesses are secure before the playing starts. This ensures that no players will slip out of the bubbles during the game. The Harness is located inside the bubble and our experienced staff will help with making sure that all participants are securely harnessed.

  3. Inflated Bubble: A fully inflated Bubble will ensure that the participants have a cushioned landing if they are bashed during a game. The impact is something like jump on a mattress. Of course, we are not going to let adults verse the children so they are not going to be getting knocked over with any great force. In fact, after 1 or 2 knockdowns, getting bashed is pretty much the most enjoyable part.

  4. Correct Footwear: Wearing the correct footwear whilst playing Bubble Soccer is essential just like with any other physical activity. When playing at the KIKOFF Soccer Centre’s we advise that the participants wear running shoes or Soccer boots. At KIKOFF we operate our Bubble Soccer on artificial grass which is suitable for these footwear’s. However, you should check with your Bubble provider to be sure of what footwear they recommend.

  5. Fair Play: We ensure that we set out rules on aggression at the start and by limiting the court area in which players can run, it prevents extreme high-speed play and collisions. Our aim is to make Bubble Soccer enjoyable and fun not risky and violent.

  6. Ultra-Light Bubbles: It is a good idea to use a provider which have ultra-light bubbles. This will take any strain of carrying the bubble off the participants. It is also important to ensure that the bubble being used have a good amount of clearance around the head and lower body so that injuries are prevented. At KIKOFF we use the ultra-light bubbles and have bubbles with more than adequate clearance around the head and lower body.

So, there is our safety checklist for kids playing Bubble Soccer. It is important to remember that the risk of injury whilst playing Bubble Soccer is very low. If you go to an experienced a reputable Bubble Soccer provider like KIKOFF then you can rest assured knowing that you kids will enjoy running around being still and having fun risk free.
